Rock Guitarist Ronnie Montrose Death Ruled a Suicide

According to news reports his widow, Leighsa Montrose, indicated the musician had been clinically depressed most of his life. The San Mateo County Coroner ruled his death a suicide. Montrose was 64. Today once someone is called depressed they are placed on Anti-Depressants, or psychotropic drugs. Both have side effects are suicide. It looks like psychiatry and Bigpharma failed once again to “cure” depression.
Montrose played guitar with Van Morrison, Boz Scaggs, the Pointer Sisters, Herbie Hancock, Edgar Winter Band, Sammy Hagar, and his own band Gamma. He was a great guitarist and music lovers should embrace his life. He was still playing guitar at 64 as he played fifty shows the past year.
